Does the BBC only have one script?

i don’t know. and i really don’t like not knowing.

‘Funny little human brains. How do you get around in those things?’

‘Oh god, what is it like in your funny little brains, it must be so boring’

don’t blame the beeb blame the King Recycler

fun fact: neither of the episodes the gifs are taken from are written by steven moffat (say hello to mark gatiss and chris chibnall), so your post derailing is not only typically obnoxious but also irrelevant

as for faking their own deaths and making their friends watch, well, three things:

1) sherlock is an adaptation of a certain book series

2) there’s a book in that series called the final problem, written by arthur conan doyle in 1893, i suggest you read it some time

3) the reichenbach fall was written by steve thompson

and the last bit? characters with similarly abrasive surface personalities in saying similar thing shocker!

i love this! it’s encouraging that his sketchbooks are filled with barely-readable tiny tiny thumbnails and gesture sketches!

Huge inspiration of mine. <3

Stumbled across these fantastic depictions of the X-men that I had to share. Artist Daniel Barajas is pretty frickin impressive. I love the way he has re-imagined these characters. Check out the rest of his work, here.

Let the excavating begin! A French-Italian research team has uncovered the first ancient harbor of Rome, located near the city of Ostia. While HBO and the BBC have dished up saucy and incestuous television series about the Romans, these researchers have unearthed the first Roman harbor that is speculated to have served as an outlet to the sea, a hub to receive supplies of wheat and salt, and finally a key spot to ward off enemy attacks on the Tiber river. Attempts to uncover the ancient port began to take off during the Renaissance, yet the excavations have yielded unsuccessful results. Finally, this French team has turned up successful.

The ancient port was said to have been built by Ancus Marcius, the 4th king of Rome, and is a landmark discovery for the research team. The site was discovered using a new geological corer that allows archeologists to take soil samples from various strata of the earth. The harbor is said to be the largest port ever built by the Romans. The task for the researchers now is to figure out the origins of the wheat that once fed the million inhabitants that once resided in Ancient Rome.

And let’s talk about the fact that Joseph Gordon Levitt himself said the point of the movie is not so you’d feel bad for him and fall in love with him, it’s so you’d realize how selfish some people are.
Actual quote from him from an interview:
The (500) Days of Summer attitude of ‘He wants you so bad’ seems attractive to some women and men, especially younger ones but I would encourage anyone who has a crush on my character to watch it again and examine how selfish he is.”
"He develops a mildly delusional obsession over a girl onto whom he projects all these fantasies. He thinks she’ll give his life meaning because he doesn’t care about much else going on in his life. A lot of boys and girls think their lives will have meaning if they find a partner who wants nothing else in life but them. That’s not healthy. That’s falling in love with the idea of a person, not the actual person.”

Why didn’t I fucking find this 5 months ago
